In conjunction with catering partner SSP - The Food Travel Experts, London City Airport has unveiled its latest customer experience initiative: comprehensive weekly wine tasting sessions, with dedicated wine sommeliers on hand to provide expert advice.
Weekly wine tastings will be held every Wednesday from 8 February onwards until 28 March. Hosted by sommelier, Ben Mulvaney and supported by Anthony Stanley, Bars Manager, passengers will have the opportunity to take advantage of Mulvaney’s passion and expertise while sampling some of the world’s finest wines. They will learn the wines origins and recommended food pairings, and receive complementary tasting notes.
‘Wine Flights’ is another initiative on offer. The six available ‘Wine Flights’ give passengers the chance to enjoy three 50ml samples that can be matched with the new a la carte menu at City Bar & Grill in the Departures lounge. Individual 50ml samples can also be purchased, affording customers the chance to sample wines before committing to buy.
A dedicated wine website (www.wineatlcy.com) allows passengers to order any wines tasted at the Airport for delivery to their home.
