London City Airport is pleased to confirm that following a comprehensive on–site survey carried out by Green Air Monitoring, it has been awarded a certificate of compliance for indoor air quality in its terminal building.
The Green Air Monitoring survey showed that none of the components associated with contamination from aircraft or vehicle exhausts have affected the airport’s facility to any degree. Both nitrogen oxide and carbon monoxide levels are well below the respective workplace exposure limits. These findings demonstrate that London City Airport is fully compliant with air quality limits for the workplace.
The airport has had in place a comprehensive air quality monitoring and management programme throughout the airport for a number of years, being awarded this certificate gives external verification of the airport’s efforts.
London City Airport takes very seriously the health, safety and wellbeing of all passengers, staff and other contractors in the airport terminal. The results of this air quality report are welcomed by the airport.
