LONDON CITY AIRPORT JET CENTRE LAUNCHES NORTHOLT JET CENTRE PPS

Date: 23/06/2006

On Saturday 01 July 2006 London City Airport Jet Centre extends its corporate aviation offering with the launch of Northolt Jet Centre Premier Passenger Service (PPS).  The new company demonstrates the success of London City Airport Jet Centre, which today holds a worldwide reputation for quality handling of corporate aircraft.  Together with its unique location, the London City Airport Jet Centre is the industry and consumer choice when London is their destination.

Adding Northolt Jet Centre PPS allows London City Airport to enhance its London operation and tailor it’s corporate passenger handling.  Passengers travelling to the West End from Northolt will enjoy the location benefits that passengers currently enjoy travelling via the London City Airport Jet Centre to central London.

Darren Grover, Head of Business Aviation for London City Airport is confident that corporate aviation is an area in the travel industry that will continue to grow: ”We have seen phenomenal growth in the corporate aviation sector.  This is largely a result of the introduction of fractional ownership, which has simply opened up the industry, making private air travel more accessible and affordable.  Fractional ownership has impacted markets worldwide, with Europe enjoying the largest growth rate.  Particularly for our East London operation Europe is responsible for the majority of our growth.

“Northolt will form a fundamental part of our corporate aviation offering, extending our services to a much wider audience, as we now have the potential to handle almost any aircraft from the business jet family, including a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ).”

London City Airport believes that Northolt Jet Centre, situated at Royal Air Force Northolt, is a natural extension to their current business portfolio of corporate aviation services.  The private air travel sector is very much a focus of the Airport’s development strategy, providing opportunities to expand and deploy its experience and service excellence.
