May 2013 London City Airport recorded its busiest month in its 26 year history Peaking at 15,697 passengers on Friday 24th to total 315,514, the figures obtained identified an increase of almost 20 per cent compared to May 2012.
These record-breaking numbers, combined with consistently higher load factors, demonstrate real success in the development of the route network at LCY. We have launched several new routes this year including Nuremberg, Dresden, Paderborn, Rome and Kristiansand.
These additions to our service have achieved a significant increase in passenger numbers compared to other airports in the South East.
