London City is sponsoring the Irish high jumper, Deirdre Ryan, in her Olympic bid and highlighting the significant relationship between London City and Dublin, one of the Airport’s busiest routes. 

High jumper Deirdre Ryan is one of Ireland’s most outstanding athletes and is the National Irish High Jump record holder with a jump of 1.95m. An Olympic hopeful in the London 2012 Olympic Games, she was named ‘Irish Athlete of the Year 2011’ at last year’s National Athletic Awards following her standout performance at the World Championships, which saw her finish in sixth place and achieve her season best and a new Irish record.
