London City Airport win "Best Airport "award

03/07/2012

London City Airport received "Best Airport" at ACI Europe 8th Annual awards ceremony in Madrid. The Airport was recognised for its strong traffic growth, service quality and in particular for its ultra-efficient ‘door-to-gate’ passenger processing times.

Topping the 1-5 million passengers per annum category, Declan Collier (London City Airport CEO) collected the prize.

“We have put a lot of hard work and considerable investment into delivering what we call the 20/10 proposition – a 20 minute check-in from door to gate, and a 10 minute arrival, from tarmac to train – and it’s great to have that appreciated by our peers in the industry.

ACI Europe counts around 400 airports in 46 European countries, which demonstrated the high level of competition this year.
