London City Airport’s Jet Centre proudly received NetJets’ ‘Best Airport’ award at the seventh annual EBACE2007 in Geneva.
Darren Grover, Head of Business Aviation at the Jet Centre accepted the award as part of the NetJets Excellence Awards hosted on 22 May 2007. “We are delighted to accept this prestigious award from NetJets, further demonstrating the unrivalled success of London City Airport’s Jet Centre,” said Grover.
The Jet Centre has seen exponential growth since its inception in 2002. Last year the airport completed over 13,000 movements of private jets compared to 9,700 in 2005. London City Airport predicts further growth of this sector with movements increasing to 28,000 by the year 2030.
Netjets is the largest operator of business and private jets in Europe. The company has a fleet of nearly 600 aircraft worldwide and has seen enormous growth in the European market in recent years. London City Airport is its third most visited airport in the world with approximately 7,000 movements being received from NetJets alone.
EBACE2007 (European Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition) is the only major European event focused solely on business aviation.
