The British Airways ‘family’ has expanded at London City Airport with the introduction of new direct services from the Docklands to Denmark.
British Airways franchise partner Sun-Air of Scandinavia A/S, has launched a double daily service to the commercial centre of Billund,
Flights operate on a Dornier 328 aircraft, in British Airways livery.
Niels Sundberg, Sun-Air’s chief executive officer, says: “We have been particularly interested in London City Airport for several years and look forward to operating straight to the heart of London. The airport is located close to London’s commercial and financial districts, and it therefore has its focus on business travellers and their needs.
“Furthermore due to the airport’s size passengers can be on their way to a meeting just a few minutes after arriving at the airport. Another advantage is the ability for passengers with hand baggage only to check-in for a flight up to 20 minutes before departure – that’s unique.”
The first flight from London City departs at 10.30am with a later departure at 8.35pm. Return flights leave Billund at 9.20am and 7.25pm. Flights will operate from Monday to Friday with one evening flight on Sundays.
