London City Airport works closely with local charities, sharing time and experience, and raising funds and awareness.
Since 1996, London City Airport has supported Richard House, London’s First Children’s Hospice, which is located in Beckton. Richard House provides care and support for life-limited children and children with complex healthcare conditions and their families.
The Airport’s relationship with Richard House has evolved over the years with the number and scale of fundraising events delivered through our partnership growing considerably over the years. The charity is close to the hearts of many Airport staff who engage in fundraising activities both at work and in their own communities for the Hospice. In 2012, LCY raised over £28,000 for Richard House.
