London Underground trade unions are planning a 24-hour strike on the Tube from 18:30 on Wednesday 5 August. If the strike goes ahead, Tube services will stop running from 18:30 on Wednesday 5 August until Friday 7 August. There will be no Tubes on Thursday 6 August. We are expecting normal service to resume on Friday. London Underground, Overground and TfL rail services are also set to run as per usual but are likely to be busier than normal. All passengers are advised to check their journey before they travel and allow additional time to get to their destination.

London City Airport considers filming requests on a case by case basis. Charges will apply if approved.
Then think London City Airport, the only airport that is actually located in London. With our unique opening hours we are able to make the whole airport available for your project as we normally become non-operational for 24 hours every Saturday from 13:00 onwards, and the fact that we normally close at 22:00 (Sunday-Friday) makes London City Airport the best place to do airport filming projects.
We are now accepting commercial and non-commercial filming requests including television production companies, filmmakers, promotional material, corporate training videos and so on. Please complete the Filming Request Form below and email a copy to Samantha Hicks, Commercial Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Sam on +44(0)20 7646 0989.
Part of the recent Barclaycard advert was filmed in our main terminal by check-in. You can see the airport at 00:40.
Any external company wishing to carry out filming/photography within the Airport's grounds must hold a valid permit available from the Commercial department before proceeding. They will also be required to hold public liability insurance and submit proof, provide a method statement and a full risk assessment before commencing.
n.b. There may be additional staff cost in addition to normal filming/photography rates. Charges can be discussed with Sam upon receipt of the request form.
News filming and interview requests should be directed to Charlotte Beeching, Head of Communications, email@example.com, telephone +44(0)20 7646 0132.
