London City Airport University Prize Scheme

Now in its ninth year, London City Airport’s University Prize Scheme provides financial assistance, management mentors and annual paid work placements to local students from Newham, Tower Hamlets and Greenwich. Since the programme started in 2004 the airport has awarded grants totalling more than £200,000 to 19 students from the three boroughs.

Benefits of the scheme include a £2,000 annual grant for each year of a three year course, as well as a personal mentor from the airport’s management team to provide advice and counsel as and when needed. Paid work experience during summer vacations is arranged for prize scheme candidates - in diverse airport departments - to provide a better understanding of the business and its operations.

If you are interested in the scheme and would like to apply for the 2013/14 academic year, please answer the four questions below. If you are eligible for the scheme you will then be asked to complete an application form. Good luck!
