The London City Airport Fun Day is now in its 12th year and represents a spectacular day of family entertainment, whilst raising much-needed funds for Richard House Children’s Hospice.
London City Airport is the only airport in London and specialises in delivering the travel needs of the City and East London. The area itself is undergoing much development and attracting media attention, especially in relation to the 2012 Olympics, which will be a 15 minute journey from the airport. During the 6 month promotional period of Fun Day 2008, some 1.5 million passengers will pass through our doors. This will be combined with a further 315,000 local business people and residents who will be reached by Fun Day specific promotional activity on a number of occasions.
The promotion of Fun Day is a unique and cost effective marketing opportunity to reach key city business persons and hence potential customers/clients (91% passengers are AB, aged 25-53). The event itself enables brands to be exposed a vast audience from East London, making a highly visible contribution to the local community in which they operate and undertake business.
London City Airport Fun Day 2008 will take place on Saturday 5 July. The 550mx40m space is remarkably transformed from a working airport into a theme park within a few hours. Last year, Fun Day hosted over 50 exhibitors, made up of entertainment, catering and information. 2008 will be even bigger! The event will also feature London’s only Air Show.
