Aviation Enterprise gets going for the gifted and talented

A new education programme - Aviation Enterprise - has been designed to teach local year 9 gifted and talented students about the workings of the Commercial Team at LCY.

A key objective of the programme is to raise the aspiration levels of local students whilst making them aware of the variety of key corporate departments within the aviation industry.

Over the course of the programme students will take part in 5 individual lessons where they will develop an understanding of basic concepts in the areas of Business, Corporate Social Responsibility, Marketing, Media Sales and Route Development. The first lesson – A Background to Business – took place on March 17th and 24 students from Kingsford, Rokeby and Royal Docks Secondary Schools took part. Upon completing the programme, students will use everything they have been taught in previous lessons to design a new LCY terminal.
