Planning Application

Flight Movement Application 2007

Following the Government's Aviation White Paper, which required airports to make the best use of existing runways, and the publication of London City Airport's Master Plan in 2006, London City Airport submitted a planning application, in August 2007, to deliver the next phase of the Airport's development. The planning application proposed an increase in flight movements to 120,000 per annum from that year’s level of 80,000 (70,000 in 2011).

Following detailed consideration of the application and associated documents, the London Borough of Newham, at its Development Control Committee meeting held on 8 July 2009, granted planning permission for this application.
