London City Airport takes environmental management seriously
London City Airport takes environmental management seriously Managing the impact our operation has on the local and global environment and local communities is a priority for our business. The Airport delivers a wide range of environmental programmes to ensure we can operate and grow in a sustainable way. The airport's commitment to managing its impact on the environment is outlined in its Sustainability Policy 2022. A Sustainability Roadmap ‘Above and Beyond’ has also been published and can be accessed on our website here.
London City Airport continues to be recognised for its commitment in managing the way the business interacts with the local environment. This is embodied with the airport being accredited to ISO14001 for its Environmental Management System and achieving Stage 4+ ‘transition’ status as part of the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) programme. This certifies that LCY has a robust transition pathway towards net zero carbon by 2030, and recognises the work ongoing with third parties at the airport to reduce scope 3 emissions.
