Sunday Nov 17:

Due to essential roadworks, Connaught Road roundabout will be closed from 7:00PM on Friday 15th November 19:00 until 5:00AM on Monday 18th November, blocking access to the terminal from the west along Hartmann Road. A diversion is in place via the eastern access gates, located at the junction of Fishguard Way, Woolwich Manor Way and Albert Road. Please allow extra time for your journey by vehicle or take the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) instead.

The grand city of Rennes is urban Brittany at its most charming.

Historic cobbled streets lined with bars, shops and pretty terraces link together churches, parks and museums in a city that offers intimacy during daytime and friendly Breton cheer when the sun goes down.

Getting Around

Rennes is well-served by public transport, with STAR's extensive local bus network fully integrated with the driverless Rennes Metro, which serves locations across the city. You can use tickets interchangeably on the buses and light rail system, enabling low-hassle exploration. If you're heading further afield, TGV services call in at Gare de Rennes, providing swift connections to Nantes, Brest and other regional cities.

As a driver new to Rennes, it can be tricky navigating around the city centre. Narrow streets, dead ends and pedestrianised areas may hamper your progress, so make sure you have access to satnav with up-to-date maps. Many of the locals prefer to cycle, and the city's long-established bike-sharing system gives you easy access to bicycles. Alternatively, you may choose to explore on foot – most of the key attractions are in or within walking distance of the historic quarter.
