Head to Jersey’s rugged north coast for stunning clifftop walks or adventure inland to explore the capital, St Helier, where you’ll everything from Victorian seafood markets to fascinating museums.

Jersey’s annual events bring the island’s streets, beaches and forests to life, from August’s Battle of Flowers – a colourful carnival of each parish trying to outdo its neighbours with bigger and bolder flower-strewn floats – to Jersey live, also in August, the island’s largest music festival.

The boutique Branchage Film Festival every September has built quite a following over the years as the island’s castles, theatres, boats and buildings become backdrops for curated movie screenings. From October to November, Jersey’s restaurants lay on fixed-price menus in the island-wide Tennerfest (sadly no longer all a tenner), so everyone can explore and enjoy the best food Jersey has to offer.

The Channel Islands Heritage Festival from March to May celebrates the history of the Channel Islands. The island’s numerous historical attractions lay on special events to shine a light on everything from Neolithic burial mounds and Roman coin hoards to Medieval castles and occupation war tunnels.

At Christmas, the streets of St Helier light up for La Fête dé Noué. Think carols, street entertainment, traditional markets and a popular covered ice rink in the Parade Gardens.
