London City Airport considers filming requests on a case by case basis. Charges will apply if approved.
Then think London City Airport, the only airport that is actually located in London. With our unique opening hours we are able to make the whole airport available for your project as we normally become non-operational for 24 hours every Saturday from 13:00 onwards, and the fact that we normally close at 22:00 (Sunday-Friday) makes London City Airport the best place to do airport filming projects.
We are now accepting commercial and non-commercial filming requests including television production companies, filmmakers, promotional material, corporate training videos and so on. Please complete the Filming Request Form below and email a copy to Tom Murphy, Commercial Property and New Business Manager at Tom.Murphy@londoncityairport.com or call Tom on +44(0)7834 525 211.
All you need to travel this summer is a good book, Penguin filmed this advert in our baggage hall last summer much to the surprise of our passengers.
Notonthehighstreet.com demonstrated the dangers of travelling with children with the filming of their advert in our main concourse.
Barclaycard filmed an advert in our main terminal by check-in. You can see the airport at 00:40.
Any external company wishing to carry out filming/photography within the Airport's grounds must hold a valid permit available from the Commercial department before proceeding. They will also be required to hold public liability insurance and submit proof, provide a method statement and a full risk assessment before commencing.
n.b. There may be additional staff cost in addition to normal filming/photography rates. Charges can be discussed with Tom upon receipt of the request form.
