Subject Access Request and your rights

The Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) give you certain rights relating to your personal data processed by London City Airport (LCY).

  • You have the right to be told about all the personal information that we hold about you. This is called a Subject Access Request (SAR), and will allow you to be aware of and verify the lawfulness of our processing your information.

  • You have the right to request that your personal information be corrected if it is inaccurate, or that it be completed if it is incomplete.

  • LCY will only hold your personal information for the minimum time necessary. When that time ends we will delete your information from our records. Prior to us automatically deleting your information, you have the right to request that your information is deleted from our records if there is no reason for us to hold your information.

  • You have the right to ask for and reuse your personal information held by LCY to allow you to move, copy or transfer personal information easily and in a safe and secure way.

  • You have the right to object to us using your personal information for direct marketing and profiling, at the time we collect your personal information, or after we have collected your personal information.

  • You have the right to withdraw your consent for us to process your information in full or in part, at any time when your consent is necessary for us to process your information.

If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact our Data Protection Officer by using the online form below, or alternatively by email to DataProtectionqueries@londoncityairport.com, or in writing to:

Data Protection Officer City Aviation House, London City Airport, London, E16 2PB

You will receive an acknowledgement within five working days of us receiving your request, and a full response within twenty-eight days of receiving all the relevant information required to handle your request.

If you feel that our processing of your personal information is unfair and or that we have been unable to resolve your request satisfactorily, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You can find more information about your rights and how to complain on the ICO website at www.ico.org.uk.
