Inspiring the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs about the aviation industry
Each year, we run our flagship STEM in Aviation programme at ExCel London to offer young people insight into current and future applications of science and technology in aviation.
Tackling the UK’s STEM skills shortage
Students from schools across East London come along to get a taste of potential careers in the industry by meeting with innovative companies in the aviation and STEM sector. Since the programme launched in 2016, these have included Boeing, GKN Aerospace, Accenture, Arcadis and University of East London (UEL).
Aviation is one of the UK’s most successful industries, contributing billions to the economy. By showcasing the importance of STEM-based skills in the sector’s future, we aim to encourage the uptake of STEM subjects in schools.
