Commenting on the Government’s decision to place London in Tier 3 restrictions later this week, Robert Sinclair, Chief Executive of London City Airport, said:
“London City Airport will remain open and operational to serve our passengers during this period. As we have done throughout this pandemic, we will continue to work with our airline partners to provide safe, careful and speedy journeys to domestic and international destinations in the run up to Christmas and New Year and over the holiday season.
We have put in place an extensive range of health and safety measures at the airport to provide a safe and COVID-secure environment for our passengers and staff. This was recognised when the airport was recently awarded with certification from the Airport Council International (ACI) Airport Health Accreditation programme, becoming only the second airport in the UK to achieve that standard. We would encourage all passengers to take extra care when travelling in the next few days and to ensure they are aware of the entry and testing requirements of their travel destination”.
